  Watchtower study today at meeting

  well, looks like they do have a new date for the conclusion of the end, and that we should "be prepared".

  even some people that commented said that 90 years of the 120 years have passed by and we should be prepared for the time at hand.

  2034 people, 2034.... i've had enough, i'm talkign to the elder about this one, i don't care if i get labelled or not.

  Because I was wondering how this was going to be handled I visited one congregation and checked on two others. Not one word was said about this 2034 business, and I mean not one word. I think some people here are being infected by real wishful thinking, there's enough wrong in the Witness world without making things up.

  Field Service Hours

  my "jw" family came down for the "thanksgiving" holiday.

  my mom & sister - my sisters family - my full time pioneer niece (17 years old).

  we were sitting around playing cards and my niece was writing letters inbetween deals.

  A really good technique is to write a "Letter to the Editor" of some newspaper or whatever. I knew a guy that would work on one for hours and hours, then send it in and it wouldn't be printed. Then he'd start another one.

  Bad experiences of Christmas Day Ministry

  the worst experience i had was working with my young daughter and a guy came to the door and told me to f---k --f - and then slammed the door in our face -- i used to hate going out in field service on christmas day with a passion.

  Strangely I know of a Circuit Overseer that was visiting a congregation over the Christmas week this year and he told the Elders that if not very many showed up they'd just forget it. Then when people did show up he told them to go get some coffee somewhere if they could find it and maybe make a couple of calls and forget it. Unusual attitude for one of those guys.

  back on october/10, i posted links to two incidents incurred by a wt's airplane on alaskan fishing lodges:

  it is supposed to be that all vehicles belonging to the wt are registered under the name: "kingdom support services.

  Y'all are being way too reasonable here. You're supposed to foam at the mouth and rip Wt officials for living in the lap of luxury. Realistically, I don't believe I've ever heard of the exalted ones engaging in fishing or hunting, especially hunting which is viewed negatively by many Witnesses, not in Alaska though.
